Summit Medical Group opens new clinic in Tellico Village

The region’s largest primary care organization is expanding as Summit Medical Group has now opened a new primary care clinic in Tellico Village.

On Oct. 3, Summit Medical Group and Tellico Village Property Owners Association (POA) marked the grand opening of Summit Medical Group at Tellico Village with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by an open house for residents and patients.

The Tellico Village practice is one of three new clinics that Summit Medical Group is opening this fall to serve patients in East Tennessee. Summit Medical Group at Middlebrook in Knoxville and Summit Medical Group at Tellico Village are open to patients, and Summit Medical Group at Maryville will open later this fall.

“We’re growing and enhancing our service offerings to meet the needs of our existing patients and others throughout our region,” Summit Medical Group CEO Ed Curtis said. “By adding three new clinics in 2017, and possibly more locations in 2018, we’re able to bring our results-focused, valued-based care to more families and individuals. We hope to continue to help make East Tennessee a healthier place to live.”

Summit Medical Group at Tellico Village is the first Summit facility of its kind within a residential community in East Tennessee. Similarly, Summit Medical Group at Middlebrook and Summit Medical Group at Maryville aim to serve residents in those areas by providing convenient access to high-quality primary care services.

Located at 202 Dohi Drive in Loudon County, Summit Medical Group at Tellico Village offers comprehensive primary care through Brandon Sammons, D.O., as well as digital X-ray and lab services, physical therapy and specialty service partners.

“Providing healthcare on-site within a residential community is a forward-looking concept, and that’s why we’ve partnered to bring the excellence and convenience of Summit primary care to Tellico Village,” Curtis said. “Likewise, our new primary care clinics in West Knox County and Blount County will bring the highest level of care to a convenient location within those communities. All three locations are accepting new patients.”
