Summit Medical Group opens Urgent Care clinic in Greeneville

Summit Medical Group has opened Summit Urgent Care of Greeneville, offering a walk-in clinic and extended hours to the East Tennessee community.

The clinic is open to all patients ages 2 and older and is located inside the Tusculum Family Physicians building, a new 7,000-square-foot Summit Medical Group practice that opened earlier this year. No appointment is needed, and patients do not have to be a Summit Medical Group patient to visit the clinic.

The clinic is supported by a team of Summit Medical Group providers in the Greeneville area, who have come together to ensure that the needs of local residents are met.

“With this new urgent care facility, we can better serve both local Summit patients and residents of Greeneville and the surrounding community,” said Dr. Kenneth Nickle of Tusculum Family Physicians. “All patients will receive the same high-quality of care that they expect from our individual practices.”

Summit Urgent Care of Greeneville includes three family nurse practitioners, Heather Wilson, Katrina Holder and Holly McGaw. The clinic offers treatment for fevers, cold and flu; bladder or urinary infections; sprains and strains; minor allergic reactions; ear or sinus pain; nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea; sore throat; minor burns, cuts and scrapes, including those potentially requiring stitches or sutures; mild stomach pain; pink eye; stitch/suture removal; swollen joints; skin rashes; cough and mild wheezing; and other ailments.

The clinic is located at 555 Justis Drive across the street from Laughlin Memorial Hospital, behind Weigels. It is open Monday-Friday, 6-9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. For additional information, call 423-254-6460.
