Brandon Sammons, DO, joins Summit Medical Group

 

Dr. Brandon Sammons has joined Summit Medical Group as a physician with Summit Medical Group at Tellico Village. 

A Knoxville native, Sammons earned a Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology/kinesiology from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2007 and a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology in 2009. He completed one year in the Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) program prior to entering medical school.

Sammons graduated from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014, where he was a member of the Alpha Chi national college honor society. He completed his residency in internal medicine at UT Medical Center in Knoxville in 2017.

Sammons is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Osteopathic Association and holds certifications in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS).

Sammons resides in Knoxville with his wife, Dr. Niva Misra. In his free time, Sammons enjoys spending time with his wife, playing competitive basketball, bicycling on area greenways and fishing with his father. He also is an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan.
