Sara Fulton earns CMPE designation

 

Sara Fulton, director of operations for Summit Medical Group, has earned the professional designation of Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) by the American College of Medical Practice Executives, the certification entity of the Medical Group Management Association.

The designation of CMPE demonstrates that Fulton has achieved board certification in medical practice management. She has passed rigorous essay and objective examinations that assess medical practice management skills, including business operations, financial management, human resource management, information management, organizational governance, patient care systems, quality management and risk management. Fulton also has earned a minimum of 50 continuing education credit hours.

Fulton, a member of the Medical Group Management Association, joined Summit Medical Group as director of operations in October 2015. Now a resident of the Bearden community of Knoxville, Fulton is a graduate of Webb School of Knoxville and earned her bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Tennessee.
