Tenecia Lancaster, FNP, joins Summit Medical Group in Surgoinsville

Tenecia Lancaster has joined Summit Medical Group in Surgoinsville, Tennessee, as a family nurse practitioner with a special interest in family care.

Lancaster practices at Summit Family Medicine in Surgoinsville and cares for patients ages 5 and older.

She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Lancaster is certified to perform arthrocentesis and joint injections by the American Academy of Family Physicians, as well as Botox, Dysport and Xeomin injections by the American Academy of Procedural Medicine. She also is an associate of the American College of Cardiology and a certified medical examiner.

Lancaster earned a Master of Science from Vanderbilt University in 2016 with a family nurse practitioner concentration. While at Vanderbilt, she was a recipient of several honors, including the Kathleen Suzanne Nelson scholarship, Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation scholarship and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission Scholarship, all based on strength of character and scholastic merit.

Prior to joining Summit Medical Group, she worked as a family nurse practitioner with the Rural Health Services Consortium in Rogersville and with Tennova Primary Care, Lakeway in Morristown. Lancaster has served as a medical volunteer with Graham Christian Medical Foundation in Haiti since 1997, as well as assisting at a clinic for migrant workers in the Dominican Republic. She has volunteered with Project C.U.R.E. to help collect medical supplies for global communities in need and supported her local community by serving as a medical volunteer at a retirement community for seniors with limited resources.

Lancaster resides in Rogersville, where she enjoys biking, playing golf and tennis, learning new languages, spending time with family and conducting science experiments with her niece. She is the daughter of Jim and Dianne Hageman of Rogersville and Dr. Tom Stanton in Morristown.

Summit Family Medicine, located at 3353 Highway 11W in Surgoinsville, is open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. and on Fridays from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. In addition to primary care services, the medical clinic provides on-site laboratory services, Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examinations, workers’ compensation independent medical examination, pre-employment physical exams, drug screening services and more.
