Putting Steps Into Practice
Creating a Plan for Success
Take an honest assessment of your feeding style - How can we mold this into a thoughtful feeder?
- Can we place a little more time into meal planning?
- Can we choose to have healthy snack alternatives on hand?
Take an honest look at the responsibility you allow your children to control and what you control. Does this need to be adjusted?
- For example - does your child aimlessly help themselves to snacks at will? Deciding when to eat and what to eat is up to the parent.
- Does dinner time conversation include forceful eating, or cleaning their plates? How much and whether a child chooses to eat something is their responsibility.
As you
go through your week, think about the roles as you address mealtime and feeding.
